  • I am reading the book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown and he talks about a CEO who said yes to many requests without really thinking about it. And then he goes on to explain how his stress went up as the quality of his work went down. The book is full of wisdom nuggets like this that make me stop and think – “Hey, that’s me.” Today I will say “yes” to only the things that only I can do, and say no to everything else.

I’m wrapping up a course on How to Market using Your About Us page on your website. I will be teaching two classes this afternoon covering that topic with two different audiences. The challenge is in explaining why each element is important to an About Us page.

My interactions today with other people were a stretch outside my comfort zone. There are a couple of people in our network who have asked for help and words of encouragement. Today I took a few minutes to text words of encouragement and send memes of humor on the subjects they are focusing on. I’m hoping it was a moment of hope in an otherwise busy day.

I went to bed last night, probably the first time in my adult life, when I was not physically exhausted – I went to bed because it was early – and the right thing to do. I fell asleep almost immediately and slept soundly through the night until the alarm rang this morning.

The Law of Attraction is a concept that is rooted is positivity. It suggests that similar things gravitate toward each other. If you want success, hang out with successful people. If you are a “doom and gloom” type of person, you will most likely surround yourself with other “doom and gloom” people.  A content creator looking to create a life of abundance by attracting positivity and good deals might incorporate several strategies inspired by the principles of the Law of Attraction and positive psychology. Here are some steps they could take:

  1. Clear Vision and Goals: Define what abundance means to them. It could be financial success, strong relationships, creative freedom, etc. They should set clear, specific, and achievable goals.
  2. Positive Mindset: Cultivate a positive mindset by practicing gratitude, mindfulness, and positive self-talk. They could start each day by listing things they are grateful for to shift focus to positivity.
  3. Visualization: Regularly visualize achieving their goals. This might involve creating vision boards or engaging in guided imagery exercises where they picture themselves experiencing the success and abundance they seek.
  4. Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to reinforce their belief in their ability to attract abundance. These affirmations should be in the present tense, such as “I am attracting great opportunities every day.”
  5. Actionable Steps: While focusing on positive thoughts is key, taking concrete steps towards goals is essential. This could mean improving their content, learning new skills, networking, or other actions that move them closer to their goals.
  6. Authenticity in Content: Produce content that is true to their values and passions. Authenticity can attract a loyal audience and build stronger connections with viewers or followers.
  7. Engage with the Audience: Build a community around their content by engaging with their audience through comments, social media, or live interactions. Positive engagement can increase reach and create more opportunities.
  8. Collaborations: Seek collaborations with other content creators or brands that align with their values. This can expand their reach and attract more deals.
  9. Adaptability: Stay open to new opportunities and be willing to adapt strategies as the digital landscape changes. Abundance often comes from being flexible and embracing change.

  11. Consistency: Be consistent in efforts, both in creating content and in maintaining a positive outlook. Consistency in content creation helps in building a reliable brand, while consistency in mindset solidifies the habit of positivity.
